Hazel Catherine Blum (nee Craney) was born October 9, 1918 in Eatonia, Saskatchewan. She passed on August 30, 2012 at the wonderful age of 93.
Hazel and her family moved from Saskatchewan and traveled to BC then back to Alberta. There she met Paul Blum and they were married July 8, 1939.
Left to cherish their special memories of Hazel are two daughters Betty-Lou Lambert and Wanda May (Jack) Korenchuk; three grandchildren Shannon, Shane (Dawn) and Twain (Catherine); four great-granddaughters Kaitlin (Buttner), Brooke, Ashley and Callie (Korenchuk); and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Mom was predeceased by her parents; her loving husband Paul; grandson Daniel; all her brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
A Funeral Service was held 10:00 a.m., Saturday September 8, 2012 from Burgar Memorial Chapel with Rev. Brian Hunter officiating. Cremation has taken place.
If family and friends so desire, memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to S.T.A.R.S., the Stollery Children's Hospital, or to the charity of one's choice.
