Eileen Elizabeth Nordstrom, beloved wife of Allan Nordstrom of Camrose passed away at St.Mary's Hospital, at the age of 74 years. We celebrate the life of Eileen Elizabeth Nordstrom, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, friend, aunt, and cousin who has passed into heaven to be with God at the age of 74. She is predeceased by her mother and father Tilly and Max Romanufa; her son Robbie; two brothers Nestor and Terrance; as well as four brothers and sisters who passed in infancy. She is survived by her husband Allan; sons Rick (Patricia) Nordstrom, Ken Nordstrom and daughter Sandra Nordstrom. She is also survived by her grandchildren Jennifer (Trevor) Saulteaux, Shaun Nordstrom, Michael Nordstrom, Alanna Nordstrom, and Scott Nordstrom; and great-grandchildren Kendal and Chevelle Saulteaux; seven sisters, large extended family and a large network of friends. Eileen "Lee" was born and raised in Vegreville, Alberta into a family of fourteen children. She married Allan Robert Nordstrom when they were eighteen. They were married for 55 years and had four children Richard, Robbie, Kenneth and Sandra. In the early years of their marriage Eileen focused on raising the children. As the children grew, Eileen helped Allan develop their homebuilding business across the counties of Camrose, Leduc, Strathcona and Wetaskiwin. She worked hard all of her life. Allan and Eileen retired in 2000. In their later years they enjoyed spending their winters in Mexico and Arizona surrounded by her many friends. She enjoyed socializing with her friends and large extended family. Funeral services were held on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. from the Camrose United Church with Mary Ann Pastuck officiating.
