Obituary of Jerry Steier

It is with great sadness to announce that Jerry passed away after a very short, but also a very difficult battle with cancer, with his sisters by his side. Jerry will be lovingly remembered by his mother Ollie, his sisters Janice Harms of Victoria, B.C., Lisa (Randy) Clarkson of Sherwood Park and Merissa Steier (Steeve Paradis) of Edmonton. He is also leaving behind two nieces Camille (Matt) Manning of Sherwood Park and Alecia Harms of Vancouver, B.C., also four nephews Dylan Clarkson of Edmonton, Logan Clarkson of Sherwood Park, Taylor Harms of Victoria, B.C., and Jerry's favorite little one Kohen Paradis, whom he called (Joe) all the time. Jerry is predeceased by his father Armin in 1995. A big "Thank You" to all the kind and loving caregivers, staff and residents at the Everglades Lodge for the very excellent care and compassion given to Jerry and his family during the storm. Thank you for all the comforting words and prayers, also for visiting and consoling us during the long evenings. For this we are so very, very grateful. A funeral service was held on Friday, April 13, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. from the Camrose United Church (4829 50 Street) with Mary Ann Pastuck officiating. Interment followed in the Camrose Cemetery. Memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to the Canadian Cancer Society.
