Obituary of Leonard Hiebner

Mr. Leonard Hiebner of Camrose, formerly of New Sarepta passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at the age of 89 years. Leonard Paul Hiebner was born on June 23, 1922 at Krasnorichen, Woloder, Volhynia, Russia. Leonard lived on a farm at New Sarepta most of his life.On October 18, 2008 Leonard moved to Parkview Place in Camrose. Left to cherish Leonard's memory are his three children Roy (Helen) of Edmonton, Betty (Henry) Goudreau of Ohaton, Ken (Debbie) of Edmonton, his five grandchildren, Cynthia (Doug), Rosaleen (Grant), Loretta, Jennifer and Brendan, three great grandchildren, Brittany, Kyler and Karlee. Leonard is also survived by his sisters Alvina, Elsie, Marie, Lydia and brother David (Sharon). Leonard was predeceased by his parents, Paul and Eda, the mother of his children Martha in 2010, his eldest daughter Lily, her husband George Marusiak and their three children Leonard, Laura and Leslie on October 3, 1976, his sisters Meta Harke, Natalia Schultz, his brothers Edmond and Herman, his brother in laws Waldemar Schultz, Reinhold Schmidt, Ronald McKay, Bernard Reinhardt and Lawrence "Lorne" Harke. Funeral services were held on Monday, December 5, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. from Zion Evangelical Missionary Church in New Sarepta with Rev. Jeff Johnsson officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery. If friends so desire memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to the charity of your choice.
