Mrs. Marie Banack of Camrose, passed away Thursday, November 10, 2011 at the age of 82 years. Marie was born on February 8, 1929, the second daughter of Joseph and Emily Delowski. She had an older sister Alice and two younger brothers Rick and Don. She married Ken Banack in Round Hill on July 20, 1947. They raised four children Paulette (Gus), Doug, Dale and Darren (Charlene). She had eleven wonderful grandchildren, Mark (Eva), Maria (Barry), Simone (Paul), Carla (Kelly), Andrea (Edward), Jody, Jason, Michelle, Matthew (Jennifer), Brandy and Chantelle; fourteen great-grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. Marie was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Emily Delowski, sister Alice and grandson Mark. Marie was a lady of many talents, she enjoyed to crochet, she was a seamstress, a quilter, knitter, and loved to garden, there were no flowers as beautiful as Marie's. She loved the outdoors especially camping and fishing. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a friend to many. She will be loved and missed by all. A Prayer Vigil was held on Sunday, November 13, 2011 at 7:00 p.m., from the Burgar Memorial Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday, November 14, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. from St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church (5010-48A Avenue) with Rev. Larry Pederson as celebrant. Interment followed in the Camrose Cemetery. If friends so desire memorial contributions may be made in memory of Marie to the Alzheimer's Society, The Alberta Heart & Stroke Foundation or the charity of one's choice.
