Mrs. Rose (McCorry) Sakowsky of Camrose passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2009 in Tofield, AB at the age of 83 years.
Rose will be lovingly remembered by her husband Bob; her five children Pat (Larry) Laschowski of Edmonton, Collen McCorry (Kenny Coates) of Edmonton, George (Pat) McCorry of Edmonton, Fred (Kerry) McCorry of Red Deer, Irene (Roger) Hansman of Camrose; and her son-in-law Bernie Gorniak of Tofield. She is also survived by her 19 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; one sister Jenny Lebaduk of Red Deer and numerous relatives and friends.
She was predeceased by her first husband Paddy McCorry; her daughter Helen Gorniak; one great grandchild Taylor Fendlet; 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
Prayer services were held on Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at 7:30 p.m. from the Burgar Memorial Chapel, 4817-51 Ave., Camrose. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. from the Burgar Memorial Chapel with Rev. Brian Hunter (St. Mary's Hospital Pastoral Care) officiating. Interment followed in the Camrose Cemetery.
If friends so desire memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to The Canadian Cancer Society.
