Mr. Eugene Robert Yarema of Daysland passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at the age of 78 years. He is survived by his loving wife Irene, daughter Sonia (Brian) Corliss of Camrose; two grandchildren Mark of Peace River and David (Stacey) of Fairview; five great-grandchildren Tradyn, Tristen, Taya, Lucas, and Madison. He is also survived by two brothers Father Edward Yarema of Sarnia, Ontario, and Julian Yarema of Camrose; sister Dorothy Yarema of Port Coquitlam, B.C and numerous nieces and nephews. Eugene was predeceased by his mother and father, one brother Peter, one sister-in-law Barb, and siblings in infancy. A prayer vigil was held on Friday, October 16, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. from the Burgar Memorial Chapel Camrose (4817 51 Avenue). Divine Liturgy was on Saturday, October 17, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. from The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church in Daysland with Rev. Greg Faryna as Celebrant. Interment followed in the Kopernick Ukrainian Catholic Church Cemetery. Memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to a charity of one's choice. The family of Eugene Yarema would like to thank the doctors and nurses who cared for him, Dr. K. Alebhai (Surgeon), Dr. M. Ewanchuk (Anesthetist), Dr. Bruce Kropelin (ICU intesivist), Dr. A. Ochs (House medical officer), Dr. H Kanji (House Medical officer); nurses Karen, Sabine, Trudy, Paulette, Dianne, and Tracey; Chaplin Blain, Priest Father Joseph Pidskalny. Also, to Paul Yarema for all that you have done to support us at this time.
