Mr. Francis Sylvester Blaeser of Breton, formerly of Lacombe passed away on October 5, 2009 at the age of 88 years. Left to cherish his memory is his loving companion Adeline Grona; his children Roseanne (Grant) Tarnowski of Canmore, Marilyn Blaeser of Geneva, Switzerland, Gilbert Blaeser of Spruce Grove, Victoria (Guy) Parrott of Edmonton, David (Monica) Blaeser of Millet, Darlene (Grant) McAree of Qualicum Beach, B.C., Kathy (Larry) Balogh of Leduc, Brenda Blaeser (Joe Olafson) of Leduc, Cheryl Blaeser of Enderby, B.C.; 14 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by extended family (Adeline's children) Rick Grona of Airdrie, Gerald Grona of Spruce Grove, Janis Pikard of New Maryland, N.B., Gladys (Kas)Glowacki of Crossfield, Audrey (Darrel) Veasey of Mapleridge, Gary (Bernice) Grona of Medicine Hat, John (Char) Grona of Strathmore, David (Patty) Grona of Medicine Hat, and 11 grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife Evelyn, one granddaughter Saje Blaeser, and 11 brothers and sisters. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m., on Saturday October 10, 2009 from the St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church (south of Strome) with Deacon Doug Tien officiating. Interment to follow in the Camrose Cemetery. Memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to the Rehoboth Christian Assocation for the mentally handicapped or to The Breton Health Centre, or The St. Peter's Cemetery Fund.
