Please share a memory of Scott to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Scott was born March 23, 1943, in Camrose, Alberta to Mr. Malcolm Robson and Mrs. Mary Idella (Bowlby) Robson of Bawlf, Alberta. There Scott grew up on the family farm along with his older brother David Robson of Calgary, Alberta. Scott attended the University of Alberta in Edmonton where he received his Doctorate as a General Practicioner. Scott had a family practice in Virgina while living in the capital city of Washington, DC. He lived in the Watergate Tower during the time of the infamous Nixon break-in. Scott then moved back to Toronto joining another family practice and eventually working at several local hospitals were he worked until his health would no longer allow it. Scott's greatest love was his work as a Doctor and he devoted his life to the practice of medicine, many times working seven days a week. Scott also enjoyed collecting and decorating with French antiques, holding or attending elegant dinner parties with the finest food and a lively political debate! Spending time with his beloved mother Della was another passion of Scott's. Many times each year he would fly to Calgary to visit her in Camrose. Some of their favorite times together was when they would travel to New York to catch a Broadway play. He was a devoted son and took great care of Della when her health became her greatest obstacle in life. Scott ensured her care was the highest possible and was heavily involved in her everyday life, even when he was far removed in Toronto. Funeral services were held on Monday, September 26, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. from the Camrose United Church with Rev. Alan Richards officiating. Inurnment took place in the Camrose Cemetery. Memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to the Alzheimer's Society.
