Garry Lyonn Powell of Camrose passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2011 at age of 55 years.
Left to cherish his memory are his mother Edna; his brothers Don, Harry, Len, Ken (Dianne), Cecil (Gwen), Brian; his sisters Patricia (Lawrence), Cecile (Warren), Ann (Richard), Shelly (Tim); numerous nephews and nieces; and many friends.
Gary was predeceased by his father Earl in 1980, and his younger brother Dale in 2010.
A prayer vigil was held on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. from the Burgar Memorial Chapel.
Divine Liturgy was held on Thursday, September 1, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. from the Protection of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church with Rev. Slavko Dumec officiating. Interment followed in the Camrose Cemetery.
If friends so desire memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to the charity of one's choice.
