Eddie was born March 13, 1939 in Cache Lake, Alberta. He had four brothers and six sisters. He attended Carrol Creek and Armena Schools. As a youngster he helped his parents on the family farm along with his brothers and sisters. Eddie loved to play hockey, many a time mom would find him outside running around on any ice he could find and shooting the puck. When he got older he got picked to play on the Armena School team. He was so proud. He loved music, dancing, fishing and sports. In his late teens he went out into the work force, working in the construction field throughout Alberta and Saskatchewan. Later he got a job at a sawmill in Valemont B.C. where he lived with his cousin Bill Mazur and family. He worked here for many years. Eddie was a very outgoing person and loved to have a few drinks, tell jokes and sing Jonny Cash songs. We will miss you Eddie, Rest in Peace. Eddie leaves to mourn his passing, family members Lena (Harry), Bill (Jean), Mike (Carol), Sophie (Chuck), Nettie (Clayton), Elenor (Ernie), Stanley (Sandy), sister-in-law Margaret as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Eddie was predeceased by his parents Zacharko and Barbara; sisters Mary and Anne; and brother Fred. The family thanks the doctors and staff of the Rosehaven Care Centre, West Court Lane for their loving care. Funeral services were held on Monday, August 22, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. from the Rosehaven Care Centre. Inurnment took place in the Camrose Cemetery.
