Obituary of Mary Charpentier

Please share a memory of Mary to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Mary Margaret Helen Williams was born February 28, 1922 in England to Walter and Maude Williams and immigrated to Canada in 1926. She married Vernon Charpentier in 1939 and to this union seven children were born. Mary passed away August 10, 2011 in Camrose at the age of 89 years. Mary will be lovingly remembered by her children Jim (Marilyn) Charpentier of Ryley, Dianne (Dennis) Hartman of Bawlf, Star (Gary) Vornbrock of Camrose, Cindy Charpentier of Camrose and Roxanne (Al) Staton of Camrose; 21 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Mary was predeceased by her husband Vern; two sons Brian and Joe; one grandson and one great granddaughter; as well as numerous brothers and sisters. Mary was deeply devoted to her family and friends. Although music was her greatest passion, retiring to Camrose gave her the opportunity to travel and take up many new hobbies. She never lost her love for life, even after moving into Bethany. She made many new friends and she often said that the staff spoiled her. Her passing has left an empty void, but her strength and memory will live on in the hearts of her loved ones. Funeral services were held on Monday, August 15, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. from the Burgar Memorial Chapel with Rev. Norm Lentz officiating. Interment will followed in the Camrose Cemetery. If friends so desire memorial contributions may be made in memory of Mary to the Charity of Your Choice.
