Mrs. Elsie Sikstrom of Camrose, passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2009 in St. Mary's Hospital at the age of 79 years.
Elsie is survived by her children: Grant (Debbie) of Calgary, Daniel (Ruth) of Red Deer, Brian (Teri) of Camrose, and Nancy (Gary) Hayworth of Gladston District; eight grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. Elsie is also survived by her brother Irvin (Pat) Frank of Edberg, and two sisters, Lillian (Roy) Cunningham and Selma (Harold) Carter, both of Camrose.
Elsie was predeceased by her husband Glenn, grandson Tyler, and sister, Agnes Sikstrom.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at 1:00 p.m., from Burgar Memorial Chapel with Rev. Brian Hunter officiating. Interment followed in the Camrose Cemetery.
Memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
