Mrs. Irene Yarema of Daysland passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2011 at the age of 77 years.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Sonia (Brian) Corliss of Camrose, two grandchildren, David, and Mark, her five great grandchildren, Tradyn, Tristyn, Taya, Madison, and Lucas. Irene is also survived by her brother Eugene (Ann)Bilyk of Camrose, two sisters, Nadia (Ben) Els of Killam, Stella Huculak of Killam, sister in law Dorothy, brothers in law Father Edward, Julian, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Irene was predeceased by her parents Steve and Anastasia Bilyk, her husband Gene, baby brothers Paul and Johnny, brothers in law Peter Yarema, Bill Huculak, and her sister in law Barbara Yarema.
Prayer Services were held on Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at 7:00pm., from the Burgar Memorial Chapel. A Divine Liturgy was held on Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at 10:30am., from the Ukrainian Catholic Church in Daysland with Rev. Slavko Dumec officiating. Interment followed in the Koppernick Ukrainian Catholic Church Cemetery.
