Obituary of Sherron Taje

Please share a memory of Sherron to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with sad hearts that her family announces the passing of Sherron Gail Taje at the age of 68. Sherron will be missed and remembered by her family; her loving daughter, Leanne (Alan Piller); grandchildren Miranda Herman and Davis Herman; sisters Gwen Dambrofsky and Deanne (Richard) Rebain; brothers Dennis Dambrofsky and Doug Dambrofsky; in-laws Alice Burkhardt, Ida Taje, Lawrence and Madeleine Taje; along with many nieces, nephews and friends. Sherron was predeceased by her beloved husband, Donald Taje. Sherron was born in Tisdale, Sask., but grew up in Barrhead, Alberta. She met and married Donald in her late teens, and they spent their lives both in Wetaskiwin and on their farm near Gwynne. A lover of nature, animals and Coronation Street, Sherron was never happier than when puttering around the farm with one of her beloved dogs — Candy, Holly and Eddie — running at her heels and Leanne playing nearby. She was an avid and talented crafter, and always had one project or another on the go. A fabulous cook and a gregarious hostess, Sherron enjoyed hosting parties and holiday gatherings for friends and family, and loved a good board game or a round of cards. Along with volunteer work such as helping seniors prepare their tax returns, she also worked at various jobs over the years, including a stint with home care in Camrose in which she was also able to help out seniors who needed a bit of assistance in their homes. In her later years, Sherron took immense delight in spending time with her grandkids, who provided her with much joy and pride. Although plagued with ill health for many years, Sherron never lost her spunk or her great sense of humour and ability to laugh at life. Her family would like to thank the staff at St. Mary's Hospital in Camrose for their kindness in Sherron's final days, and Dr. Daniel Van Den Berg of Wetaskiwin for his compassionate care over the years. As per Sherron's wishes, a private memorial will take place on a later date. If family and friends so desire, memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to the Canadian Wildlife Federation.
