Albert John Livingstone

(September 4, 1936 - January 18, 2023)

Albert John Livingstone of New Norway, AB, formerly of St. Paul, AB, passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at the age of 86 years.

Albert was born on September 4, 1936 to Allan and Florence in Drumheller, AB, where he spent his adolescent years. He went to work, first as a roughneck on the rigs, then as a heavy equipment operator which he did until he retired.

Albert met Evelyn in Hardisty in November, 1958 and they married on January 2, 1959. They moved between Drumheller, Calgary, Swan Hills, and finally settled for a time in Black Diamond. They purchased a farm in Vilna in 1973 where they stayed until retirement. In 2007 they purchased a little piece of heaven, a cabin at Perch Lake, where they resided until Evelyn’s passing in May, 2022. Albert moved to New Norway where he lived with his daughter Brenda (Larry) until he joined Evelyn on January 18, 2023.

He is survived by his children: Diane (Ben) Mitchell, Royal (Dellas Carmichael) Livingstone, Brenda (Larry) Luckwell and Laural (Steve) Hoff. Grandchildren: Tara, Jason, Ryan, Christina, David, Charmaine, Rosemarie, Victoria, Cassandra, Gillian, Ashley, Becky, Tanner. Great Grandchildren: Logan, Elijah, Abel, Serena, Wolfe, Kolbi, Farrah, Austin and Hudson.

Albert was predeceased by his wife of 63 years, Evelyn; infant daughter Rosemarie Livingstone; sisters Thelma Todd, Wilda McReynolds, and Rosemarie Livingstone; and brothers Alan and Fred Livingstone. 

A Funeral Service was held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 25, 2023, from the Burgar Memorial Chapel, 4817 - 51 Avenue Camrose with Rev. Ted Wigglesworth officiating.
