Alvin Joseph Mathias Steil

(April 30, 1941 - June 4, 2022)

Alvin Steil, 81, of Camrose, Alberta, passed away unexpectedly on June 4, 2022.

Alvin was predeceased by his parents, Clarence and Bernadine, his two brothers, Ronald and Gary, and his brother-in-law John Parr.  Left to cherish his memory is his wife Bernice and their children, Perry (Shannon) and Shelly (Greg), his sisters Margaret and Loreen (Norbert), his brothers Orval (Dana), Ivan (Pat), Jerrold (Theresa), Bernard (Marilyn), sister-in-law Florence, along with nieces, nephews, relatives, and many close friends who were like family to him.

Alvin was born on April 30, 1941, in Strome, Alberta.  He was known for his friendliness and never hesitated to help people out.  Whatever he set his mind to he was determined to get done.

Alvin owned a series of businesses including Steil Trucking which kept him busy throughout the years.  In his free time, he enjoyed camping, trips to Arizona, and boating in the Kootenay Lakes.
 

A graveside service was held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 17, 2022, at the Camrose Valleyview Cemetery with Rev. Brian Hunter officiating. 

In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to be made to the Camrose and Area Animal Shelter, an organization Alvin felt strongly about.
