Darryl Roy Thirsk

(April 28, 1960 - August 5, 2021)

 

Darryl Roy Thirsk of Camrose, Alberta, formerly of Kelsey, passed away on August 5th at the age of 61 years. Darryl was born in 1960 to James and Ellen Thirsk. Darryl grew up with one sister and six brothers on the farm at Kelsey. 


Darryl worked on the farm along with his dad, in road construction paving, drove trucks in many jobs, and also helped farmers. He worked for his friend Larry for many years farming. 


Darryl is survived by his three daughters Candace, Lindy, and Nikki; mother Ellen; sister Beverly; four brothers Rod, Wayne, Raymond, and Murray; and sister-in-law Dawn. Darryl had numerous friends and relatives, including his special friends Cook and Karen who took him on a trip to Ontario and helped him in many ways. Also, Matt and Greg who were there for him and all of us. 


Darryl was predeceased by his father James, brothers James and Leo, and sister-in-law Shirley Feist.
We love you Darryl and you will be missed by your special girls, family, and friends.

A Funeral Service was held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, August 12, 2021 from the Burgar Memorial Chapel with Rev. Brian Hunter officiating. Inurnment has taken place in the Melville Cemetery.
