Lucy May Luz

(November 27, 1935 - July 15, 2021)

Lucy May (Lyster) Luz was born November 27, 1935 in Hanna, Alberta.  She was 2nd born to Slim and Winnie Lyster. In 1952 Lucy graduated from Camrose Lutheran College where she went to work for Brager Transport.

She met Wally Luz in Camrose and they were married June 17, 1955. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary before Wally’s passing. For 25 years they farmed south of Camrose and raised four children. In 1980, Wally and Lucy moved to Camrose to retire from farming.

She is predeceased by her husband Wally; son Ryan; sister Sharon Reed; and parents Winnie and Slim Lyster. Lucy leaves to mourn, her three children Donna (Perry) Hansen, Sandy (Garry) Evernden, and Duane Luz (Lana Zilli); eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister Arlene Lyster; and brothers Ken Lyster (Edith Young), Merle (Gwen) Lyster, and Wally (Linda) Lyster. 
  

A funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 23, 2021, from the Grace Lutheran Church. Interment has taken place in the Camrose Cemetery.
