Clara Emma Bradley

(March 10, 1920 - April 3, 2021)

Clara Bradley passed peacefully on Saturday, April 3, 2021, at the respectable age of 101.  Not one to miss out on a big event, Clara made sure to live long enough to see a once-in-a-century pandemic.  Clara was born in Loreburn, SK on March 10, 1920, to Henry and Mary Seltenrich.

She married James Kenneth Bradley on November 26, 1942, before moving to Kimberley, BC, and raising three children: Gordon, Mary Jean, and Glen. She was an active member of the Marysville Royal Canadian Legion and Kimberley Hospital Auxiliary.  She loved camping, cooking for her family, and ordering beer with Clamato juice on the side.
Clara was an avid bridge player, gardener, and garage sale aficionado. She was many things to many people:  wife, mom, grandma, local woman who almost burned her house down while making cookies. She will be remembered fondly for her love of her family, her friends, and her beautiful hand-knit afghans.

Her memory will endure in her daughter Mary Jean Becker of Coquitlam, BC, daughter-in-law Sharon Bradley of Kimberley, BC, daughter-in-law Donna Bradley of Ferintosh, AB, sister Marion Gilroy of Saskatoon, SK, sister Amelia (Jerry) Collier of La Mesa, California, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Clara was predeceased by her husband Jim, her two sons Gordon and Glen, two great-grandsons Richie and Ryley, and seven brothers and one sister.

The song is ended but the melody lingers on....

A private family service was held. Interment has taken place in the Marysville, BC Cemetery.
