Margaret Ann Nordin

(August 9, 1941 - November 21, 2020)

Margaret Ann Nordin of Camrose passed away on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at the age of 79 years.

Margaret was born on August 9th, 1941 in Fawcett, Alberta to parents Art and Nellie Sutton.  She grew up developing her hobbies of sewing, reading, enjoyment of birds, and gardening.  Margaret later moved to Camrose, Alberta where she was one of the first women to work for the Camrose Booster.  While living in Camrose, Margaret met her loving husband Allan Nordin. They went on their first date on December 26th, 1956, and were later married on June 9th, 1959.  Margaret then worked for the first burger place in Camrose, which Allan enjoyed as he got free hamburgers.  After Margaret got married, she worked for the Bank of Commerce.  They happily moved to, what would be their forever home in 1966, a beautiful farm in New Norway, Alberta. There they raised four boys, Jim, Kevin, Brad, and Ben.  Margaret was skilled with numbers and moved on to work at H&R Block in Camrose from 1974-2018.  

Left to cherish her memory are her husband Allan; children Jim (Grace) of New Norway, Kevin (Janet) of Ponoka, Brad (Denise) of Fort Saskatchewan, Ben (Jenna) of Leduc; twelve grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and siblings Orville Sutton of New Norway, Lynn Sutton of Olds, and Lorraine Hendrickson.  

A private family service will be held at a later date.

If family and friends so desire, memorial contributions in Margaret's memory may be made to Hope Mission, the Mustard Seed, or to the Salvation Army.
