Shannon Faye Kercher

(July 29, 1965 - August 30, 2020)

Shannon was born in Camrose, Alberta on July 29, 1965 to Ron and Bonnie Kercher.  She passed away in the ICU ward at the University of Alberta Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta on August 30, 2020 at the age of 55.
Throughout the years, Shannon lived in Camrose with Aunty Dolly and Uncle Bob and attended Burgess School.  She also moved to Red Deer and lived with Aunty Sylvia and Uncle Harold and attended the Vocational College. Shannon eventually ended up residing back in Camrose where she worked at the Clothing Depot located a few blocks from her apartment, but she loved the farm and was always looking for every excuse to move “home”.

What else did Shannon love – quadding, her cats, anything Harley Davidson, giving people nicknames, eating at Subway, chuckwagon races, Billy’s car, camping, friends and most importantly her family. If there was a rodeo, she was always wondering why they weren’t going.  Shannon was the family “memory keeper” – she probably didn’t remember what we did yesterday, but she remembered everything we did 15 years ago.  Unless you had “dusting or vacuuming” to do in the house, Shannon was always willing to help. Shannon had no enemies, everyone was her friend – and you are all truly her friends.  Never did a phone call end to her “Sis” without these words…..OK Sis, say Hi to my buddy (Steve) and to the kids, miss you guys, love you!

Left to cherish her memory are her parents, Ron and Bonnie Kercher, sister Lori (Steve), nephew Cole and niece Karlee any many, many friends. Shannon was predeceased by her Grandparents Ed and Bernice Kercher and George and Queenie Orr.

Please always keep Shannon in your hearts, you will always be in hers.

A private family service was held.

If family and friends so desire, memorial contributions in Shannon's memory may be made to the charity of one's choice.
