Angelika "Angie" Brigette Shute

(September 22, 1950 - July 12, 2020)

Angie Brigette Shute of Camrose, Alberta, passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2020 at the age of 69 years.

Angie was born on September 20, 1950 in Germany to Helmut and Rose Geisler. The family immigrated to Canada in 1952 and settled in Ottawa where Angie was raised, along with her sister Linda. Angie attended Merivale High School and after graduation got a job at Bell Northern. Shortly thereafter, Angie met Ken and they were married on December 14, 1971. Ken and Angie made the move back to Alberta in 1972, built their beautiful home and settled into life on the farm. To their great joy, their daughter Sonja joined the family in 1978.

Angie loved her family and her life on the farm, where she lived for almost fifty years. Angie enjoyed gardening, knitting, cutting the grass and maintaining a warm home. She had an incredible eye for design, and attention to detail and loved to express herself creatively. Angie also enjoyed her work, she worked for many years at the local papers, first the Camrose Canadian and then the Camrose Booster and cherished the memories and friendships that she formed there. Angie loved to laugh, she had a generous spirit and a kind heart. She will be deeply missed.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Sonja; grandchildren Jack and Annie; siblings Linda (Stan) Krowicki; and many close and loving extended family members. Angie was predeceased by her husband Ken; and parents Helmut and Rose Geisler.

A private family service was held.

If family and friends so desire, memorial contributions in Angie's memory may be made to the charity of one's choice.
