Please share a memory of Susie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Susanna"Susie" Warkentin

(September 12, 1926 - June 2, 2020)

It is with much love that we mourn the peaceful passing of Susie Warkentin (née Buhler) on June 2, 2020 with family at her side.

Susie was born in southern Manitoba and after her marriage to Corney Warkentin, moved to the Tofield area in 1952 where they farmed and raised their family.

Left to cherish her memory are her children Harold (Natalie) of Tofield, Lawrence (Joyce) of DeBolt, Vi (Fatima) of Edmonton, Marv (Gwen) of Lethbridge and Roland (Gayle) of Grande Prairie; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and siblings Mary, Tina, George, Rita, and Harry.

She was predeceased by her husband Corney, her brother Jake Buhler, and her sisters Annie Sawatzky and Helen Goertz.

Due to Covid19 and Alberta Health restrictions, a private celebration with only immediate family was held.

If family, relatives and friends desire, memorial contributions in Susie’s memory may be made to the Mennonite Central Committee.

The family would like to extend the opportunity to relatives and friends to celebrate in her life through the memorial page we have created. This is a place for us all to share stories, poems, thoughts and photos of Susie – a mother, a grandmother, a great-grandmother, a sister, an aunt, a friend.
