Ellen Marie Lindberg

(December 30, 1933 - February 1, 2020)

Ellen Marie Lindberg was born on December 30th, 1930 in the Tofield area, and passed away on February 1st, 2020. She was the eldest of six girls and had four brothers. Ellen married Lawrence Lindberg, the love of her life, on June 24, 1952, and was married for 67 years. They spent most of their married life in Camrose raising five children, and she worked at Byer’s Flour Mills for 27of those years.
Ellen’s quiet, kind, loving personality attracted many friends in her life. She was always willing to help others. If there was a lunch for any occasion she would be there to help, bringing her delicious home baking. She was an excellent cook and loved making delicious food for her family and friends.  Her famous chocolate chip cookies and maple chiffon cake were everyone’s favourites.
Ellen had many passions. She loved music and dancing with her best partner, Lawrence. She also enjoyed sewing, crocheting, cake decorating, canning, gardening and growing beautiful flower gardens.  She was also so happy to be baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on August 4th, 1967. Ellen had a special place in her heart for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved and was so proud of all of them.

Leaving to mourn her passing is her husband, Lawrence; children Lorne (Cathy), Donna (Randy) Mills, and Jamie (Ralph) Kassen; twenty-three grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; her siblings Maxine (Wilfred) Damberger, Grace (Reggie) Fairbrother, and Terry (Janice) Grundberg; sister-in-law Carmen Grundberg; and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Hurum and Bertha Grundberg; son Brian Lindberg; daughter Sherry Gullekson Atema; two grandchildren; two sons-in-law; three brothers and three sisters; three sisters-in-law; and three brothers-in-law.
