Mistee Dawn Palmer

(March 26, 1990 - December 4, 2019)

Mistee Dawn Palmer of Strome, Alberta, passed away on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at the age of 29 years.

Mistee Dawn was a beautiful soul. She was a lover and at times a fighter, but mostly she loved. She loved so fully with her heart that it touched so many others. She was full of joy and laughter, but wasn’t afraid to put you in your place or voice her opinion. Mistee enjoyed the outdoors. There was never a summer that didn’t find her out on the lake in pig pen (boats name) with her dad Jack. Not to mention the many campfires that we all enjoyed sitting, telling stories and maybe even a bit of singing. Mistee and her mom Nola were less like mother and daughter and more like best friends. You regularly saw Nola driving with Mistee in the passenger seat jamming to whatever song was playing....as long as it was country. Mistee was crafty, she liked and did many different types of crafts. She didn’t own anything that wasn’t at least bit covered in glitter. Her handmade items will be forever cherished. Mistee had been battling diabetes since the age of nine, and as time passed her condition worsened, but that didn’t stop her. She took life by the reigns and lived it the way she wanted regardless. She always looked forward to their trips to B.C. That meant that she would get to spend time with her big brother Ryan, sister-in-law Kristie, and her Boppa along with the rest of her family (related or not). The long drive was always worth it. This left her wanting to moving back.
Needless to say she will be dearly missed in all the lives she touched.

Keep on boot scooten Mistee.

She will be forever in the hearts of her parents Nola Johnston and Jack Palmer of Strome; brother Ryan (Kristy Jean) Johnston of West Kelowna; and numerous relatives and friends.Mistee was predeceased by her grandparents Ina and Howard Turner, and aunt Eileen.

A Celebration of Life was held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, December 9, 2019 from the Strome Community Hall.
