Robert James Nelson

(June 24, 1963 - December 13, 2018)

Robert James Nelson was born on June 24, 1963 to Rosalyn and Ronald Nelson and passed away on December 13, 2018 at the St. Mary’s hospital in Camrose.  Robert has one brother Roger Nelson and a sister Ronene Underwood. Robbie has three nieces Kayla Tennant (Brady,) Jalene Mauws (Dustin), and Lindsey Underwood (Ryan) and two nephews Brandon Nelson and Nicholas Underwood. He also had three great-nieces Macey Mauws, her sister Makinley Mauws, and Annika Tennant. Robbie was predeceased by his father Ron Nelson in 2001.
Robbie grew up in Camrose and was around seven years old when he started school at Burges School. From there on he loved to read, bowl, watch movies, cut grass, play Bingo and other numerous activities. 
Robbie spent twenty-six years at the Horizons Center School in Wetaskiwin. He resided on a farm with Mr. and Mrs. Sorenson. They had a small home built for him, which he was happy to have. He loved the country life. Robbie was always busy doing something, whether it was playing his records, taking things apart, or just spending time on his computer.
Robbie attended Centra Cam for seven years developed close relationships with the people and friendships, which the family is grateful for.
Robbie loved to laugh and make people smile, he had an awesome sense of humor and a big heart. Robbie will be missed by all who knew him.

A Funeral Service was held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday,  December 19, 2018 from the Burgar Memorial Chapel, 4817 - 51 Avenue Camrose with Father Larry Pederson officiating. A public viewing was held at 3:30 p.m., Tuesday, December 18 at the Burgar Funeral Home 4817 - 51 Avenue, Camrose.

If family and friends so desire, memorial contributions in Robert's memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Canadian Diabetes Association, or to the Alberta S.P.C.A.
