Dennis Andrew Ewanyk

(April 21, 1947 - December 13, 2018)

Dennis Andrew Ewanyk was born April 21, 1947 to parents Andrew and Katie Ewanyk. He sadly passed away, unexpectedly on Thursday, December 13th, 2018 at the age of 71 years. Left to cherish his memory are his children Karen (Derek) Shortt, Michelle (Bohdan) Korbabicz, and Thomas Shortt; grandchildren Duncan, Angus, Emily (Jonathan), Erika, Jason (Taryn), Bradley and Spencer; and brother Len (Carol) Ewanyk. Dennis was predeceased by his wife Margaret; sons Glenn and Greg; daughter Tara; brother Ken; and parents Andrew and Katie Ewanyk. 
 

Dennis was a beloved Brother, Husband, Father, Grandfather and friend. He dedicated his life to helping others and enjoyed a long fulfilling career in psychology. Close friends and family saw and appreciated him for his warm humour, kindness, and generosity. With the loving company of his friends and family, he treasured activities such as fishing, hunting, travelling, sports and of course, cooking up a gourmet meal. Many will remember him at his happiest, sitting by a fire with cigar and drink in hand sharing stories. 
We’ll never forget your warm smile, happy blue eyes and contagious laughter, and if anybody asks why you are missing, we’ll simply tell them you’ve gone fishing… 

A Funeral Service was held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 21, 2018 from the Burgar Memorial Chapel with Rev. Brian Hunter officiating. Interment has taken place in the Camrose Cemetery.
