George Andrew Nelson

(June 14, 1934 - December 9, 2018)

 

George Andrew Nelson of Forestburg, Alberta, formerly of Ashmont, Alberta, passed away on Sunday, December 9, 2018 at the age of 84 years.

 

Left to cherish his memory are his children Lorri (Doug) Christensen of Calgary, Joann (Greg) Windiuk of Ardrossan, Rhonda (Glen) Sorensen of Blackfalds, Peter (Cheri) Nelson of Forestburg, Andrea (James) Weinmeirer of St. Paul, and Jennifer Warren of St. Paul; eighteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and sister Ingaborg Barley (Kent) of Chilliwack, B.C.

 

George was predeceased by his wife Delores; and brothers William and Helmer.

 

No public formal service will be held.

 

If family and friends so desire, memorial donations are gratefully accepted to the Ashmont Community Cemetery (Box 102 Mallaig, AB T0A 2K0) or to the Alberta Cancer Foundation (www.donation.albertacancer.ca).
