Lillian Pearl McKenzie was born on August 12, 1918 in southern Alberta and passed away on Sunday, May 25, 2008 in Wetaskiwin at the age of 89 years. Lil will always be remembered for her kind and gentle way. She loved to bake, golf, bowl, garden, play cards, and was active for many years in her church and community. With thanks for her life, Lil leaves behind her daughter and son-in-law, Clark and Wendy Hansen; her granddaughter, Michelle (Brad) Hummel; her great-grandchildren: Matthew, Julia, Amalia, and Lily Hummel; her sister Viola Chambers; her brother, Elmer (Margeurite) Wambold; her step-children, Deanna (Link) Oikawa, and Bob McKenzie; as well as several nieces, nephews, and friends. Lil was predeceased by her parents, and her husband Lloyd Moger in 1971 and Robert McKenzie in 1988. Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, May 29, 2008 at Messiah Lutheran Church in Camrose with Rev. David Eriksson officiating. Interment followed in the Camrose Cemetery. Memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to St. Mary's Hospital Palliative Care or to the charity of your choice.
