Obituary of Helga Solvejg Gushulak
Helga Solvejg Gushulak of Camrose, Alberta passed away on Friday, July 20, 2018, at the age of 92 years.
Helga was born on August 8, 1925, in Vind Denmark and immigrated to Canada when she was three years old in 1928. She moved to Edmonton when she was eighteen. Helga married Paul Gushulak in August 1949. They had a son, Randy in 1950 and a daughter, Sandra in 1956. Paul and Helga lived in Edmonton until 2017 when they moved to Camrose.
Left to cherish her memory are her children Randy (Catherine) Gushulak of Oliver, B.C., and Sandra Brown (Eldon Sylvester) of Carvel, six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and special nephew Les Jacobsen.
Helga was predeceased by her husband Pawlo "Paul"; siblings Chris Jacobsen, Hedvig Hansen, Carla Staggs, Robert Jacobsen, Ingrid Jacobsen, Holger Jacobsen, Roy Jacobsen, Gordon Jacobsen, Dennis Jacobsen, and Leslie Jacobsen.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
