Bud, beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at St. Mary's Hospital in Camrose, at the age of 79 years. He was born December 16, 1928 in Provost, Alberta.
Bud met and married Hazel Edith McNall in 1956. They made a home in Provost where Steve and Laureen were born. At this time Bud was a truck driver. He was offered a job in New Norway as a grain buyer. He took this job and the family moved. Two years later Rhonda was born. New Norway is still considered home.
Bud and Hazel moved to Camrose in May of 2003 where Hazel remains.
Bud was predeceased by his three brothers: Clarence, Lawrence, and Ray, as well as his sister Lelia. He is suvived by his sister Irene, wife Hazel, three children: Steve (Laural) and their children Ashley, Becky, and Tanner, Laureen (Ken) and their children Kristin and Jamie, and Rhonda (Todd) and their children Megan and Courtney.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 2, 2008 at the New Norway Community Hall with Rev. Larry Soveran officiating. A private family inurnment followed in the New Norway Cemetery.
