Mrs. Ellen Forsberg of New Norway, passed away Saturday, December 1, 2007 at the age of 92 years. Left to cherish her memory are her children: Wayne (Shirley) of Calmar, Dennis (Jean) of Summerland, B.C., Dale (Denise) of Kelowna, B.C., and Corrine (George) Snider of New Norway; ten grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Ellen is also survived by her brother, Nels (Audrey) Nystrom of Salmon Arm, B.C.; and her three sisters: Verna Nichols of Red Deer, Effie Lindgren of Calmar, and Edith Oslund of Edmonton. Ellen was predeceased by her husband Hilbert, one infant daughter, four brothers and one sister. Funeral Services were held at 1:00 p.m., on Friday, December 7, 2007, from the Glen Park Hall (Glen Park Road and Range Road 274, 10 miles south west of Calmar) with Rev. Brian Hunter (St. Mary's pastoral care) officiating. Inurnment took place prior to the service in the Willow Creek Cemetery. Memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to the Willow Creek Cemetery, the Glen Park Hall, or to the charity of your choice.
