Obituary of Phyllis Hempel

With great sadness we announce the passing of Phyllis Irene Hempel on July 25, 2010 after a courageous battle with cancer. She died peacefully surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her loving husband Ken, children Kim Hempel and Tara (Guy) Meyer and her grandchildren Nathan and Sophia. Phyllis is also survived by her mother Millie McLevin and her brother Gordon (Carol) McLevin. Phyllis was predeceased by her father Mac McLevin. The family sincerely thanks the palliative home care team, as well as all the staff and doctors at St. Mary's hospital for their exemplary care and kindness. A memorial service was held on Saturday, July 31, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. from the Camrose United Church (4829 - 50 Street Camose) with Mary Ann Pastuck officiating. Cremation has taken place.
