Mrs. Helen Alexandra Balko of Camrose passed away on Monday, July 12, 2010 in St. Mary's Hospital at the age of 80 years.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband Harry and her children Darrell (Phyllis), Colleen (Ryan) Rose and Lavonne (Shane) Evans, all of Camrose. She is also survived by seven grandchildren: Sheila, Chantelle, Sheldon, Dustin, Marcy, Andrew and Lucas; four great-grandchildren: Hunter, Hannah, Rachel and Nicholas; brother John (Jeanette) Panas; sister-in-law Theresa Panas; and her aunt Agnes Nahajowich.
Helen was predeceased by her parents and her brother Paul Panas.
A prayer vigil was held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, July 15, 2010 from St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church. Divine Liturgy was celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 15, 2010 from St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church. Interment followed in the Camrose Cemetery.
If friends so desire, memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
