Obituary of Donald Hanna

Mr. Donald "Sanford" Gerald Hanna of Millet, formerly of Camrose passed away on Saturday, November 28, 2009 at the age of 65 years. Donald Gerald Hanna was born July 16th, 1944 in Ontario. He lived on a farm for most of his childhood. Donald did like sports, especially the Oilers, fishing, hunting with his Uncles and he enjoyed working at his Aunt's fishing lodge. He worked as a laborer, learning many different trades along the way. He especially loved to cook and worked in camps. He met his wife Val in Calgary and married her in 1979. Together there were three children; Donald, Robert, and Bobbie Jane of whom all reside in Leduc, Alberta. Donald has a daughter from a previous marriage, Donna Begg, who resides in London, Ontario. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Amanda, Ryan and Christian. Donald made a lot of very good friends from all over the place and was loved by all. Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 4, 2009 from the Burgar Memorial Chapel with Rev. Brian Hunter (St. Mary's Hospital Pastoral Care) officiating. Cremation has taken place. If friends so desire, memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to the charity of one's choice.
