Obituary of Melody Kvale

Melody Anne Kvale of Camrose, Alberta was born on February 9, 1945 to Ken and Edith Carter. She passed away on February 22, 2018 at the age of 73 years after a short sudden illness. Melody grew up on the family farm south east of Camrose. Her education began in a one room schoolhouse at Daresbury. She graduated from Charlie Killam School. From there she worked a short time at the Dairy Pool then moving to AGT/Telus, where she worked for thirty plus years. During this time she had three children, which she raised as a single parent. Melody was a great singer and piano player. She was in a band called "the Castels" for many years. She had a love for camping was always eager to go and would even go to Telegraph Park by herself. Melody's biggest passion was her grandchildren, kissing, hugging, and rocking them. She mostly enjoyed cheering them on at sporting events. Melody was a kind hearted, easy going, loyal lady. There wasn't anyone she didn't like. She will be profoundly missed by all who knew her. Left to cherish her memory are her children Ronna (John) Fehr, Trevor Kvale, Nadine Kvale; eight grandchildren; siblings Diana Foss, Don Carter (Barb Blatz), Rick (Gail) Carter, and Barry Carter. Melody was predeceased by her parents Ken and Edith Carter; long time friend Gary Heer; and nephew Craig Foss. A Funeral Service was held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 3, 2018 from the Camrose United Church with Rev. Liz Carter-Morgan officiating. Inurnment will take place at the Skafse Cemetery at a later date.
