Obituary of Garth White

Please share a memory of Garth to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Garth was born in Trail, B.C. on September 10, 1950 to Arthur and Ellen White. He lived there from 1950 to 1958, then Garth moved to Michener Center at Red Deer, Alberta from 1958 to 1995. In May of 1995 until the time of his passing, Garth lived in Camrose, Alberta in the care of Catholic Social Services. Garth touched the hearts and lives of many people. He enjoyed his time out in the community and expressed this with smiles and laughter. Garth loved to go out for rides whether it would be in Camrose or the country. Garth enjoyed his trips to Kananaskis and enjoyed nature while he was there. He enjoyed his walks at Mirror Lake and Duggan Mall. Garth liked many other things like his squeaky toy that he had beside him daily, and going to the Zoo. To make Garth's eyes light up with anticipation, just give him some chocolate! He also enjoyed his salt-n-vinegar chips. The blonde haired women made him light up. When Garth reached his late 40's, he was no longer able to walk. The wheelchair became his mobility. Garth loved to wheel around the house to find a spot to go to sleep. Funeral services were held at 12:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 15, 2009 from St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church with Rev. Eduardo Escober officiating. Interment followed in the Camrose Cemetery. Memorial contributions are gratefully accepted to the charity of your choice.
